Legal & Regulatory Watch: Malaysian Government to introduce code of ethics for AIArtificial Intelligence

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, representatives of government agencies, higher education institutions and industry players are developing a code of ethics to regulate AI which will be ready next year.

The Ministry’s initiative to draw up a code of ethics framework is especially important given the advancement of AI and the need to establish ground rules between a system of moral tenets and the responsible use of AI.
