When it comes to advertisements, especially creative content produced by independent influencers, companies are encouraged to be mindful of the Malaysian Code of Advertising Practice. Simply because, any creative content containing offensive racial stereotypes or discriminatory elements are likely to cause public uproar, which in turn may lead to negative publicity. In cases where a complaint is lodged with the complaints Bureau, companies may face sanctions.
